This is my husband Mick, my son Chayton and the short one in the middle is me. My son is a senior in high school this year and an Eagle Scout. He hopes to attend Purdue University in the fall of 2022 for Mechanical Engineering Technology.
I have always been passionate about art and photography for as long as I can remember. I was always the shy little kid that hated to have my picture taken (still kinda do) but I always found joy behind the lens. I think this feeling has always assisted me in trying to help others enjoy the experience and have fun with it. I have always loved finding flowers, animals, objects, and people to photograph or draw. I was the kid (and adult) that doodled all the time and every place. My mind never stops looking at things in a new and creative ways.
However, being part of families memories has always warmed my heart. I love capturing the “little moments” that create the best moments in life or restoring the treasured memories that have been damaged with age.
I have an Associates in Visual Communications (Advertising and Graphic Design) from the Art Institute of Dallas. I have worked in graphic design companies, printing companies, newspaper companies (web and print versions), consulting firms, and even owned my own businesses. I have been working full-time at Purdue University as a web and graphic designer for the past 15 years. I have had many experiences from old to new technology and methods. This has greatly influenced my designs over the years to create professional, visually interesting, and functional pieces. I am always keeping the purpose, audience, and production methods in mind during the conceptual through production phases of any project.
Outside of being an artist and photographer, I have been with my wonderful husband for 14 years and we have three wonderful children. I love to go camping and fishing, volunteering with Girl Scouts for the past 23 years and my son’s Boys Scout Troop for the past 7 years, and doing things in my yard and around the home. I love to stay busy if you can’t tell!
My goal was to one day come back to my hometown area after receiving my degree and helping local individuals, organizations, and business owners. I am pursuing that dream and looking forward to helping more people in my nearby communities.
